'Re-Released' by the Prisoners is a collection of very strong, mature modern rock songs. The album opens with very heavy, grinding electric guitars, which fully captivates the listener's ears and mind. '(Capturing) the Colours (in Light)' employs some of the most catchy, unforgettable guitar riffs. Better yet, as the CD progresses, this attention-grabbing sound continues, with an occasional departure to more laid back tracks, such as 'I Spy.' The production of the album successfully allows both the driving-guitars and powerful vocals to share the spotlight.
